A few words about Ca La Montse

Hi, my name is Montse and I opened this place as a bodega in 1959. For many years I was dedicated to the sale of wine, siphons, soda and ice. With the passage of time and rather by the insistence of my customers to cook homemade meals, I decided to convert the cellar into a restaurant… A restaurant that over the years evolved to become what it is today, a modern restaurant that retains that old air of good cooking and good food and that bears the imprint that one day I left my son, Jordi.

 

Jordi Rafols, chef and owner of Ca la Montse runs this charming restaurant in La Barceloneta, where you can taste authentic home cooking market: a “real” kitchen, with the freshest raw materials and characteristics of the Mediterranean.

 

Located in Barceloneta, Barcelona’s emblematic fishing district, Ca la Montse is the result of the experience and love for the kitchen accumulated over several generations.

Weekday Fridays: 07:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m

Sundays and holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Closed nights all January and February due to staff vacations.
